This piece is the result of the serendipitous process of acrylic pours. Particularly important is selection of color and placement although the end result is only somewhat predictable. Here I was experimenting with a new process adapted from what has been labeled the chameleon cell technique in the world of acrylic pours. I find the name delightfully appropriate not only for the chameleon-like scales that the process is named for, but for the change in color and behavior! 'Chameleon Flow' is definitely more about the formal elements of color, line, shape and pattern than subject!
Life is a Great Big Canvas, throw all the Paint you can on it! ~~Danny Kaye~~ Please come on in and share a slice of my life with me by enjoying a stroll through my work... I paint to further understand the wonders in the world around me and share what I discover with you and others. I delight in a wide variety of subjects from the playful to the more serious and utilize many techniques to satisfy my thirst to explore. Being more in tune with an impressionistic approach than worrying over minute detail, I often find myself distilling the essential nature of the subject to a simpler arrangement of light, form and color. Sometimes there is a story to be told, whether in my composition or from the viewer imposing their own experiences....
