Description
Enchanted River began as a value study using black and white gesso to create a stark contrast capturing the essence of the scene. I knew by layering transparent glazes of color I could create additional drama for the hazy mist enveloping the scene -but what color to choose? Blue would've worked well, but I chose green the color of nature and enchantment... A big thank you to Unsplash contributor Joseph Fuller who graciously grants artists the right to use his lovely photographs there as inspiration...
