Description
What a delight to stumble upon these weather worn three wise monkeys of Japanese lore upon a visit to the Japanese Gardens near my home. I simply had to paint the scene!

Zan, as this time of contest tribute is nearing its end, I am going thru each image individually to complete the gaze! Even with this limited colour palette,... LIGHT and COLOUR ever remain at your service...STUNNING! The peaceful greens and neutral sand tones of sculpted stairway, backdrop and statues all serve the SILENT invitation and spiritual reminder to “See no evil, Hear no evil and Speak no evil”.
