I am honored to be the temporary guardian of this beautifully crafted embodiment of The Tony Award for Artistic Merit by my fellow artists here at FAA created by Tony Murray! One of the asks is to take pics of it while one is the guardian in it's new environs. I had fun playing with resting spots around the house and decided to take a photo placing it within the gaze of Wonder, a sculpture I made some years ago. I wanted to emphasize the energy that bound the two so I wove fairy lights around them. Appropriately she is gazing in wonder and amazement - Spellbound - perfect for the way I feel!

Dear Zan, of all the pictures with THE FAA TONY AWARD you have so BEAUTIFULly captured, this NEWly offered, entangled copper string of Fairy Lights hugging The Colours of TONY and the rapt gaze of WONDER together in a Magical Light Hug …is simply PERFECT!…the title, SPELLBOUND says it all, sets the stage for the gaze returned! Ahh Laurel - thank you for your creative play with words and always valued support! I think you will appreciate another part of the story - As I was searching for something to express my sheer delight and amazement to receive this honor "Wonder" fell under my gaze. I have very few of the sculptures I created myself from that time in my artistic journey, but she is one my Mom had fallen in love with that I inherited at her passing 2 years ago. There are lots of deep feelings attached to their pairing...
