Description
We have a lot of Great Egrets like this little fellow here - a less exalted cousin to the Great Blue Heron, but I find him just as interesting to watch and to paint too! This one was seen strolling through a marshy lake edge filled with reeds. I enjoyed painting this with an impressionistic approach.
