Being more in tune with an impressionistic approach than worrying over minute detail, I often find myself distilling the essential nature of the subject to a simpler arrangement of light, form and color. Sometimes there is a story to be told, whether in my composition or from the viewer imposing their own experiences....

Thank you Lyn - they were a lot of fun to create. This is an acrylic pour painting using a spoon to apply the strokes. A fun method that allowed me to capture the essence of the flowers with a bit of serendipity in the interaction of color and flow :-)
